Iranian military advisor martyred in Syria
Pars Today –The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has confirmed that an Iranian military adviser, a defender of regional security, has been martyred in a Zionist regime airstrike in Deir ez-Zor Province in Syria.
According to the IRGC announcement, "Behrouz Vahedi" an IRGC officer who was working as a military advisor to the Syrian government was martyred on Monday night (March 25, 2024) when Zionist fighter jets attacked Deir ez-Zor Province in north-eastern Syria.
Martyr Vahedi was the father of a 2-year-old child and he lived in Karaj, in Alborz Province, west of Tehran, the Iranian capital.
Some Iranian military personnel, many of them members of the IRGC's elite Quds Force, are working as military advisers in Syria, having been officially invited by the Syrian government to provide assistance and specialist military advice to the Syrian army.
The Iranian military advisers mainly provide assistance and advice to the Syrian army in its long-running and on-going fight against Western-backed terrorists, particularly Daesh terrorists.
