Pars Today- The United States of America, as the ringleader of the Western domineering system, has resorted to every tool and stratagem to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran as the main critic of the colonialist and hegemonic nature of the West. Since the emergence of the Islamic Republic, these tools and stratagems have been used as a combination of hard and soft policies.

Overthrowing, creation of political unrest, economic sanction and pressure, stealthy operation and terror, support for paramilitary groups, military measures, backing regional invaders, cyber sabotage and war, false human rights allegations against Iran and cultural onslaught have been some of these cases.

Complicated and multilayered economic sanctions are a proof for sophisticated and compound war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

One of the specifications of the hybrid warfare is that it has no unprecedented pattern. In fact, this type of warfare is not following definite previous patterns; it rather makes use of a series of specific and important principles based on the particular code of the targeted community in a unique way.

Thus, with a review of the parameters of hybrid warfare, one can conclude that the pattern of war against the Islamic Republic of Iran is exclusively dedicated to Iran and is based on complication of intelligence environment with the aim of cognitive effects and building of a special social regime.

The United States Defense Department, in its doctrine on intelligence operation, considers the intelligence operation as a tridimensional environment which is in constant interaction with individuals, organizations and systems. These dimensions include: physical dimension, intelligence dimension and cognitive dimension.

Physical dimension, which is indeed the objective environment, is built up of command and control systems, main decision-makers and logistic sub-categories. The intelligence dimension is related to the position and way of collection, processing, recording and saving, distribution and protection of information. Cognitive dimension, too, pertains to human beings and indeed includes the minds of those who receive, transfer and reply the information or act according to them.

In fact, the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by the US and the Zionist regime and some of the European countries such as Britain, since the very beginning of victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, in order to support forging of domestic opponents, entered in a somehow indirect armed war against the Islamic system with their financial and equipment assistance. These countries, in full compliance, used a variety of methods, such as forging of separatist ideas with ethnic riots, scheming of coups like Nozheh, direct military intervention like that of Tabas, and launching of line of terror inside the country with the help of MKO terrorist grouplet with the aim of physical omission of leaders of the Revolution, were hell-bent on toppling the ruling system in Iran. Once those methods failed, the 8-year war was imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The colonialist West, especially the US, has adopted a strategy against Iran which is not confined to certain dimensions. It is rather a combination of various dimensions and parameters. This hybrid strategy includes three physical, intelligence and cognitive layers which are formed on the basis of Iran's weak points and network liaisons. This domain comprises a combination of various pressures and synergies in the fields of economy, politics, military, sabotage, cyber-attacks and waging war in the regions under Iran's influence.

It seems that the ultimate goal is to change the political system or disintegrate the political structure of the Islamic Republic of Iran whose point of incidence is focused on cognitive changes. Obviously, the quality of the West's pressure and the conduct of many American presidents, including Trump, against the Islamic Republic of Iran can be processed within this hybrid warfare.

The issue of infiltration into the intelligence domain has always been one of the privileges of the enemies to control the grey environment and enforce maximum pressure against the Islamic Republic. Meanwhile, it seems that even the repeated expressing of interest in negotiation with Iran by the US officials is a part of the comprehensive approach of hybrid warfare against the Islamic Republic and can be called as the negotiation weapon.

As a matter of fact, in this approach all parameters are juxtaposed to create crisis of decision-making and action among the Iranian society and officials.

This was exactly traceable during the Trump administration which caused prolongation of proper conditions to strengthen the effect of hybrid combat.
