  • Iran crowns champion with 20 medals at Wushu World Cup qualifiers in China

Pars Today - The National Wushu Team of the Islamic Republic of Iran won 20 medals, including 13 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze, to become the champion of the World Wushu Championships qualifiers held in China. The competition, which took place on Wednesday and Thursday in Jiangyin, China, featured over 300 athletes from 38 countries around the world.

The Iranian wushu team won the team championship title, while the host country, China, came in second with 7 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Uzbekistan took third place with 3 gold, 8 silver, and 6 bronze medals.

All Iranian athletes who participated in the competition won medals.

Six Iranian female wushu athletes, namely Sediqeh Daryaei, Shahrbanoo Mansourian, Zahra Kiani, Helia Asadian, Soheila Mansourian, and Zahra Jalili, were present in the competition.
