Pars Today- On the occasion of the start of Tehran International Book Fair and the interest of many translators for translating Iranian works into their own languages, in this article, we have introduced some popular books about Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the popular hero of West Asia and the field commander of the fight against Daesh terrorist group.

Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani (1957- 2020) known as “Hajj Qassem” was the former commander of IRGC Quds Force and the axis of resistance against the Zionist regime and the US.

After the emergence of Daesh in Iraq and Syria, Hajj Qassem fought against the terrorist group (Daesh) by being present in these areas and organizing popular forces in cooperation with the governments of these two countries, and played a special role in annihilating the Daesh ruling in the occupied regions.

His proficiency and cleverness in implementing military tactics and thwarting colonial plans were such that he was given the nickname " The Commander with No Shadow”.

Finally, at the age of 63, Lt. General Soleimani was martyred on Friday morning of January 3, 2020 in Iraq in a terrorist operation launched by the US.

This incident made Iran to fire missiles at the Ain al-Assad airbase, the main US base in Iraq, and then start an unofficial battle against the American military forces in West Asia.

I was not afraid of anything

 

"I was not afraid of anything", is Qassem Soleimani's autobiography (1957- 1979) which is the first work published by "Hajj Qassem School" publications.

This book, which is adorned with Imam Khamenei's note, contains the personal manuscripts of Martyr Soleimani from his childhood and his life in Qanat Malek village in Kerman till the middle of his revolutionary struggles in 1979.

The Hajj Qassem whom I knew

 

"The Hajj Qassem whom I knew" is the narrative of a 40-year friendship which is written by Saeed Allamian and is published by "Khat-e Moqaddam" publications. Hojjatoleslam Ali Shirazi has recounted the memories of nearly forty years of his friendship with Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani in the book. This book consists of 12 chapters. The memories begin with the war period (The Holy Defense) and Shirazi’s presence as one of the forces of Martyr Soleimani.

Hajj Qassem, Our Lucky Friend

 

“Hajj Qassem, Our Lucky Friend” is the memoirs of Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani, which introduces the people like Malek Ashtar in history in the Noble Qur'an and Hadiths. This book is written by Mohammad Mohammadinia and Asadullah Mohammadinia and is published by “Sebt-e Akbar” Publications.

This book includes these titles: the biography of Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani, General Soleimani in the words of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, the memories and words of General Hajj Qassem, Hajj Qassem in the words of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, as well as the will of Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani.

I am Qassem Soleimani

 

The book “I am Qassem Soleimani” is written by Morteza Shah Karam and is published by “Soureh Mehr” Publications.

This book includes a collection of five plays written with the aim of better familiarizing the audience with the worldview and ideology of Martyr General Hajj Qassem Soleimani and providing young theater groups in the field of dramatic text.

The book “I am Qassem Soleimani” includes five plays namely, “Mine Engineer”, “Presidential Palace”, “Soldier General”, “The Second Missing”, and the short play “I am Qassem Soleimani”.

The collection of the book “Once upon a time, Hajj Qassem Soleimani”

 

“Once upon a time, Haaj Qassem Soleimani” is written by Abbas Mirzaee and is published by “Ya Zahra” Publications.

This collection shows how Hajj Qassem Soleimani led the troops under his command in the battlefield and in the most difficult conditions.

The title of the first book is "Rush to incursion”. The book is about the memories of January 1982 to April 1982 which is narrated by the commander of 41st Tharallah battalion.

The second book titled "The battle of Seyyed Jaber" narrates the memories of this soldier from May to July 1982.

Zolfaqar

 

“Zolfaqar” is excerpts from oral memoirs about Hajj Qassem Soleimani, commander of the IRGC Quds Force which is written by Ali Akbari Mozdabadi and is published by “Ya Zahra” Publications.

In 248 pages, "Zolfaqar" narrates the memories for the first time from the period of Holy Defense to the struggles that took place in the resistance front of Syria and Iraq. For the first time, about 100 pages of this book have been devoted to publishing unseen pictures of Lt. General Soleimani.

Born in March

 

“Born in March” is a study on the memories of friends and comrades of Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani, which is written by Ali Akbar Mozdabadi and is published by “Ya Zahra” Publications. March has been considered both "The spirit of war" and "The protector of peace". "Born in March" is the memories of friends, comrades and relatives of Hajj Qassem Soleimani.

These memories are from the developments in Syria and Iraq to his martyrdom and also about the temperament of this noble martyr, which has been compiled in the form of an interview.

Dear Soleimani

 

“Dear Soleimani” is a book which is written by “Alemeh Tahmasbi”, “Leila Mousavi”, and “Mahdi Qorbani”. This book is about the life and struggle of Martyr Hajj Qassem Soleimani.
This book also provides the reader with the full text of the will of this martyr.

Among the most important books that have explained the school of Hajj Qassem mention can be made of "Social spirituality in Soleimani school" from the Research Institute of Islamic Culture and Thought and "Soleimani school" from Astan Quds Razavi Publications.

"Brother Qassem" is a study about the strategic thoughts of Hajj Qassem Soleimani in the field of Velayat, revolution, Holy Defense, martyrdom, the defenders of the shrine, culture and art.

The special point of the book is that the author has talked about every thought of General Hajj Qassem Soleimani, and the document of that matter is included in the footnote of the book, and this book provides other information for the readers in addition to getting to know the Lt. General. The present book is divided into ten sections with the following titles: Velayat and being follower of Velayat, Islamic Revolution, Holy Defense, martyr and martyrdom, martyrs of Holy Defense, Iran and Iranianism, Resistance Front, the defenders of the shrine, martyrs of the defenders of the shrine, culture and art.

Hajj Qassem’s Children

 

The book "Children of Hajj Qassem" is the memoirs of Hossein Maroufi which is written by Afsar Fazli Shahrbabaki.

This book narrates the untold stories of the bravery and heroism of the esteemed veteran, Brigadier General Hossein Maroufi, during the eight-year- imposed war [against Iran] and his captivity. According to Lt. General Hajj Qassem Soleimani, he was the youngest commander of the 41st Tharullah Battalion during the Holy Defense period.

This man has no end

 

The book "This man has no end" tries to remind the reader of a small part of the jihadi life and the biography of the soldier of Islam, Martyr Qassem Soleimani. This book has been published in the form of text and colored pictures, and the reader will read the memoirs that have been published for the first time, in addition to seeing some pictures of the commander of the resistance front. The course of the book is organized in such a way that the reader gets to know Martyr Qassem Soleimani’s school better.
