Why senior European, American officials criticize Israeli crimes?

Pars Today- Although global pressures have been on the rise against the unprecedented genocide of Palestinians by the fake Zionist regime, the regime persists in barbaric bombardments and attacks to worsen conditions for the Gazans day after day. This has triggered criticisms of senior Western officials who call for halting of the regime's genocide machine.
António Costa, President of the European Council, in a speech on 16 May at the sixth summit of political community of Europe in Albania, described the situation in the Gaza Strip as "human catastrophe" and said that the international rules are "systematically violated" with regards to this region. He added that the people [in Gaza] are under "disproportionate and smashing military force".
Elsewhere in Europe, the leaders of 7 countries, in a joint statement, stressing that they would not keep silent vis-à-vis the human catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, called for complete removal of the siege on the region by the Zionist regime. The prime ministers of Spain, Norway, Iceland, Ireland, Luxemburg, Malta and Slovenia, in a statement on Friday, announced, "We ask Israel to set aside its present policy instantly and remove the Gaza siege completely." This statement also reads, "Forced relocation or expulsion of the Palestinian people is unacceptable by any means and it is the manifestation of violation of international rules. We reject any plan or attempt for changing the demographic map."
These European leaders had pointed to the scheme of the Zionist regime to expel the people of Gaza to other Arab countries. Earlier, the US President, Donald Trump, had called for accepting the Palestinians in Jordan or Egypt which was seriously ruled out by both countries. The American TV channel, NBC News, has just reported that the Trump administration is examining a plan for permanent transferring of nearly 1 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Libya. Two informed sources and a former American official told the channel that the issue had been so serious that the Trump administration has even talked to the Libyan authorities on it. According to these sources, the US government will possibly unfreeze billions of the Libyan properties which have been blocked for decades, in return for residing the banished Palestinians. However, no agreement has yet been finalized on the issue and the same sources said that the Zionist regime has been informed of the details of the decision.
What matters is that some of the European leaders, have criticized the Zionist regime even more harshly due to its savage crimes in the Gaza Stip. For instance, the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, had announced on X social network, "More and more leaders are accompanying us against what is happening in Gaza. Bombing of civilians must immediately stop. The situation is unbearable." Sanchez also said at the Spanish parliament on Wednesday that, "Israel is a genocidal regime and we are entitled not to have trade ties with such a regime." Spain is intent to present a resolution to the UN General Assembly about ending the Israeli siege on Gaza.
On the other side of the Atlantic, Israel has been castigated by some of the officials even inside the US ruling system, which is the most important ally and partner-in-crime of the fake Zionist regime. In view of this, some 25 American senators have written a letter to President Trump whereby they have called on him to exercise every diplomatic tool to end the siege of Gaza by the fake Zionist regime.
American Senator, Peter Welch, told the Senate, "Israel has wielded its power for two months to block the entry of food, medicine, vital [items for] treatment of cancer, dialysis systems, powder milk and other items to the starving and suffering families across Gaza." He stressed, "Half a million Palestinians are facing hunger in Gaza and this number is on the rise. Yet, the trucks full of food and medicament, which compose the bulk of the aid given by the US and our allies, are right on the other side of the border." This American lawmaker added, "We cannot support or approve of the policy of deliberate starvation by a government."
The attacks of the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 have resulted in martyrdom of approximately 53,000 and injury of nearly 120,000 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children. Thousands of the bombed people are still missing under the debris. Severe hunger and lack of medicine and other medical and hygiene necessities have led to martyrdom of many Palestinians, especially children and pregnant women. Moreover, the foodstuff sent by various international centers are decaying behind the crossings to Gaza.
It seems that the Israeli crimes have been so unbridled that even some of the regime's traditional Western allies try to join the rank of the protesters as they cannot justify the heinous crimes and unprecedented genocide by the fake regime in the Gaza Strip. Surely, the pressure of public opinion has been effective in forcing the so-called defenders of human rights in the West to- at least verbally- criticize the Zionist regime. Yet, Tel Aviv, emboldened with the unconditional and unlimited support of Washington, has escalated its barbarism against the Palestinian civilians and continued massacre of women and children on a daily basis.
