  • Iran denounces Argentina's claims of Iranian citizens' involvement in AMIA bombing

Pars Today - The spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the unsubstantiated claims made by Argentina's Justice Minister and the Presidential Office regarding the involvement of Iranian citizens in the bombing of the AMIA building.

In 1994, a bombing at the Jewish cultural center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, killed over 85 people and injured more than 300. After the incident, the Zionist regime and some affiliated groups accused Iran of involvement in the bombing, aiming to divert public attention from their crimes in occupied Palestinian territories.

According to Pars Today, Nasser Kan'ani, the spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, renewed condolences with the families of the victims on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the AMIA bombing.

Kan'ani said: "Uncovering the truth and resolving this case is only possible if the relevant parties in Argentina distance themselves from political motivations and prevent third-party interference."

He also called on Argentine government officials to refrain from making anti-Iranian statements and actions and urged them not to sacrifice Argentina's national interests and bilateral relations for the sake of Israeli-American scenarios.
