Highlights of Sunni scholars' letter to the Leader to appreciate anti-Israel operation
Pars Today- Iranian Sunni scholars, in a unity-inspiring move, sent a letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to appreciate the honorable and brave Operation True Promise 2.
Two thousand Sunni scholars of Iran, in a letter to Imam Khamenei, announced their appreciation to and support for Operation True Promise 2. Part of this letter reads, "Now that, with Your Excellency's mighty and wise leadership after a period of self-restraint, the heart of the Occupied Territories was targeted with the able hand of the valiant Islamic Revolution Guards Corps on October 1, with the fire of the wrath of the Islamic Ummah and divine soldiers, the sad hearts of the families of martyrs, the unsheltered Palestinian people and all free people were soothed again, and the inexhaustible combatants of holy Qods found a new life and tireless resolve to fight the sinister Zionist regime till the end of the ignoble life of this illegitimate brat of the global Arrogance.
We, a group of Sunni Friday prayer and congregational prayer leaders and preachers of the country, as the servants of the Qur'an and Islamic teachings and the followers of the path of unity and jihad of clarification, highly appreciate Your Excellency's enlightening remarks and enemy-defeating sermons in the recent Friday prayer in Tehran; and we renew our pledge of allegiance with the ideals of the late Imam [Khomeini] and the lofty martyrs, and in obedience to that great leader, offer to the presence of you, the wise Leader, commanders and mujahedin in the way of Allah, our heartfelt gratitude for the victorious Operation True Promise 2 of the heroic IRGC and the honorable Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the usurper and child-killer regime."
According to Pars Today, Mohammad Kazem Anbarluyi, specialized in political issues, has explained some of the dimensions of this important letter, excepts of which we present here:
The first reason for the importance of this letter is that it creates unity among the Islamic Ummah which is completely opposite to the intention of the Western-Hebrew coalition. This move shows that the Sunni Muslims are standing by their Shia brothers against the palace of oppression and do not want to keep silent towards the unprecedented crimes of the occupiers. As in the popular arena, too, this unity around the axis of Qods and the cause of Palestine is clearly visible these days. When the Egyptian or Moroccan citizens fill the cyberspace with posts and reactions to the statements of the Leader in Friday prayer or Jordanians and Iraqis rant to the Zionist enemy with the Iranian missiles, this evidently proves field unity among the Islamic Ummah. The huge popular demonstrations and gatherings in Pakistan, India, Turkey and elsewhere are also signs of the same unity.
The second reason for the importance of the letter of the Sunni scholars to Imam Khamenei is its reflection in the war of narratives. The enemy, with the help of its media, has tried several times to depict the current developments in Palestine as escalation of tension and adventurism by the resistance front, led by Iran, in a bid to forge discord and distance Sunni community from the realities on the ground. The letter of Iranian Sunni scholars for the Leader had conspicuous keywords and they were emphasis on unity and jihad of clarification. This means that, despite the Western efforts, the path of unity is being covered with God's favor and the prominent example for this is the fighting of the Sunni combatants of Hamas and Islamic Jihad alongside the Shia combatants of Hezbollah and Ansarullah in the course of creating great epics for liberation of Qods and the entire dear Palestine. Imam Khamenei, in his recent speech on Friday October 4, addressing the Arab world, eloquently informed the whole Islamic world and all people across the world about the war of narratives, especially on al-Aqsa Storm.
Finally, now one year after the Zionist regime's attack on Gaza, more than 150 thousand people of this tiny region have been injured or martyred. Yet, unfortunately, some of the scholars of the Arab and Islamic world are tacitly watching the developments. But, the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the leadership of Imam Khamenei, has decisively supported the heroic and valiant struggles of the Palestinian combatants, no matter what price the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation will pay. What matters is that the issue of Palestine has once more come to the focal point of the global attention and has become the prime issue of the Islamic world.
Now, Ayatollah Khamenei has appeared as the great banner-bearer in this course so that many of the Sunni scholars have admitted this strategic role during the recent months. They have believed in his exemplary leadership in the regional developments. This unity and convergence among the Islamic Ummah acts as the fuel for the missiles of Operations like True Promise 1 and 2 to hit the heart of the fake Zionist regime and any supporter, cohort and ally of this illegitimate brat of the global Arrogance.
