Details of Ali Larijani's meeting with the President of Syria
Pars Today - According to a member of the National Security Commission, Iran has not withdrawn its advisers from Syria.
According to Pars Today, Rezazadeh, a member of the National Security Commission of Iran’s Parliament, announced that last night Ali Larijani, the advisor to the Leader of the Revolution, met with the President of Syria.
Regarding the developments in Syria, Rezazadeh said: "The news we receive from Syria is unfortunately not good and is somewhat worrying."
Based on a video of Rezazadeh's conversation with Akharin Khabar news outlet, he added: We have talked to the Russian government about the Syrian crisis, and some actions are being taken. We have not withdrawn our advisers from the Iranian embassy in Damascus at all, and we are still in Syria and Damascus. With Mr. Larijani's trip to Syria yesterday and the trip of officials, we hope that these problems will pass."
In response to a journalist’s question about whether Bashar al-Assad and his family had left Syria, Rezazadeh replied: "No, this is not true, and Mr. Larijani met with him in Damascus yesterday."
