Expansion of Iran\'s shipping lines to west and southwest Africa
Pars Today - The acting director of the African Department of Iran Trade Promotion Organization informed of the expansion of the county's shipping lines to the west and southwest of Africa.
Mohammad Reza Safari, the Acting Director of the African Department of Iran Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) said on Sunday, "Shipping lines are currently active between Iran and the east and north of Africa, and the Iranian ships commute to the ports of Tanzania, Kenya and Libya."
According to Pars Today, quoting from IRNA, Safari added, "The African countries have been prioritized in three categories in trade with Iran. Those countries, in which Iran has an embassy, trade center and trade attaché, are prioritized; hence, Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria enjoy trade priority with Iran."
He added, "Minerals, agricultural products, gems like diamond and gold are the commodities which have been prioritized for imports from Africa to Iran, while, petrochemicals and machinery are in priority for imports from Africa."
The ITPO acting director explained, "Iran can make Africa as the place of maintaining its input in the way that the private Iranian companies embark on extraterritorial cultivation in this continent."
Iran's %3.7 economic growth in 9 months
Mohammad Reza Farzin, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, recently pointed to the proportional and sustainable course of the country's economic growth and said, "The Iranian economy has experienced a growth of %3.7 during the 9 months of the current year (ending on March 20) which is considered as proper and acceptable in comparison with the economic growth in the world and among the regional nations."
154,000-barrel rise in OPEC oil production in February / Iran keeps 3rd rank
According to the latest report of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the oil production of the body's 12 member states increased to 154,000 barrels per day in February and Iran has kept the third position. Iran's oil production had an increase of 34,000 barrels to reach 3.308 million barrels per day. Iran is the third oil producer in the OPEC after Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
