Abdel Bari Atwan: Israel’s era of intelligence superiority is over

Pars Today – An Arab world analyst, referring to the Israeli war minister’s threat against the leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, described it as the incurable ravings of “Yisrael Katz,” and said that the era of Israel’s intelligence supremacy has come to an end.

Abdel Bari Atwan said: “The least one can say about the Israeli war minister’s threats to assassinate Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and raise Israel’s flag over Sana’a is that he suffers from a form of delusional thinking that would be difficult for psychologists to treat.”

“What is strange,” Atwan continued, “is that Katz made these threats so soon after the failed attempt to assassinate Khalil al-Hayya and several Hamas leaders abroad — an operation carried out with twelve warplanes over Doha. This was a defeat that challenged the myth of Israeli intelligence superiority, and this advantage — by taking successful measures and prudence — is now rapidly fading.
Atwan added: The Zionists must be told that it is the Yemenis who have not stopped supporting Gaza and have closed the Red Sea to Israeli ships.
