Iranian researcher's invention for exact Covid test and cancer at home
Pars Today- An Iranian researcher has devised home-made test of Covid-19 diagnosis and cancer.
Home-made tests are easy ways for diagnosis of influenza and Covid-19 but do not have high precision. According to Pars Today, Iranian researcher, Kamyar Behroozi, has devised a new device in the form of a cheap biological sensor which enables diagnosis of home-grown quick tests of Covi-19 virus with 100 times higher sensitivity.
This diagnosis method can pave the way for quick diagnosis of other dangerous diseases such as prostate cancer and septicemia.
Kamyar Behroozi said, "This simple but effective method presents high-precision results in a shorter time compared with the current diagnosis methods. Our research will provide the path for development of cheaper and more available diagnostic devices, especially in the environments with limited sources."
He added, "In the quick test technology, small particles called plasmonic Nano-particles are used which react to light in a special way. The user should first put a drop of the liquid containing relevant proteins of the disease (like mouth or nose swab) on a membrane. As the drop dries, any medical sign is condensed in the brown circle. In the next phase, the user adds the second drop containing plasmonic Nano-particles."
This Iranian researcher made it clear, "If there are medical signs in this situation, the Nano-particles get together in specific patterns and change the method of the reaction of light to the membrane. This change can be traced with an application of artificial intelligence in cell-phone."
