Gaza in thirst, Israel promises water to Iran: Iranian X users react to Netanyahu’s absurd claim

Israeli regime PM Netanyahu
Pars Today – The Israeli prime minister’s claim to solve Iran’s water crisis sparked reactions among the Iranian public.
Benjamin Netanyahu in a video released on August 13, 2025, on Hebrew-language media, addressed the Iranian people, saying: “As soon as your country is liberated, Israeli water experts will come to every city in Iran to solve your water problem.”
These statements by Netanyahu provoked responses from users on the social media platform X, as reported by Pars Today.
Absurd claim
Ali Farahzadi, an X social media user, shared a reaction from an Israeli settler to Netanyahu’s nonsense regarding Iran.
He quoted the Israeli user as saying: “We still don’t sleep well because of the fear of an Iranian attack and are suffering from mental health issues. After Iran’s attack on our refineries, we are facing an energy crisis. We can’t endure another war. Netanyahu, instead of promising water to Iran, you should do something about our nerves..”
Liar
Another user, Reza Nasri, called Netanyahu’s claim about providing drinking water for the Iranian people a lie.
He wrote: “Netanyahu even lies about Israel’s ability to supply drinking water to its own people. The truth is that Israel has full control over water resources in the occupied Palestinian territories and extracts about 80–85% of the renewable water from the shared mountain aquifer, leaving Palestinians with only a tiny share. Contrary to Netanyahu’s false claim, the water Israelis drink in abundance is not a product of Israeli technology; it is water denied to the Palestinians.”
Water ranking
Abdollah Ganji, a political activist and X user, commented on Israel’s water ranking globally.
He wrote: “While Netanyahu promises Iranians to resolve their water tensions, Israel’s global water ranking is 9 and Iran’s is 14. This means the Zionists’ position is five ranks worse than Iran’s.”
The people of Gaza
Milad Fard, an Iranian user on X, highlighted the dire situation of the people in Gaza due to Israeli attacks.
He wrote: “They cut off the water, so that thirst becomes an excuse for the heavens. In Gaza, bread and water are withheld so that hunger and thirst become the language of oblivion… Mothers still search for their children amid the rubble, full of grief and anxiety.”
A repetitive plan
An X user named Adam described Netanyahu’s move as a repetitive plan.
He wrote: “The notable point is that Netanyahu is executing this psychological operation for the second time, using the same repeated plan, the same repeated scenes, and the same repeated words from eight years ago to deceive the simple-minded and forgetful audience! Of course, water is just an excuse—the real aim of this repetitive game is street unrest in Iran! Something he couldn’t achieve during the 12-day war!”
Stealing from the Palestinians
Foad Izadi, a political activist and X user, highlighted the theft of Palestinian water resources mentioned in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
Sharing a headline from Haaretz that read, “Israel is unable to tell the truth about the water it steals from the Palestinians,” he tweeted: “Netanyahu said that if the Iranian government is overthrown, Israel will solve Iran’s water problem. This child-killing man has been stealing water from Palestinian land for years to supply the Israelis.”
