Pars Today – Iran’s ambassador to China stated that Tehran and Beijing must, through “prudent and balanced cooperation,” stand against modern challenges, unilateralism, and the expansionist ambitions of Western powers, and play an active role in shaping a new global order.

Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, Iran’s ambassador to China, said at a joint meeting with Chinese students and researchers—organized in cooperation with the Chongqing Financial Studies Institute and Renmin University in Beijing—that Iran-China relations go beyond bilateral cooperation and can serve as a “decisive factor” in strengthening regional peace and stability and balancing global power.

According to Pars Today, Rahmani Fazli added: “From a strategic perspective, the Tehran-Beijing link is part of the emergence of a new Asia, where independent countries with ancient civilizations are redefining their role in the global order.”

Iran’s ambassador to China emphasized the importance of collaboration in the fields of energy, transportation, and emerging technologies, stating: “With its unique geopolitical position, Iran can serve as a connecting link between East and West and a key route for the Belt and Road Initiative.”

Rahmani Fazli, referring to Iran’s vast energy potential and China’s position as a major economic and technological power, stressed: “These shared interests lay the foundation for a strategic partnership that can contribute to energy security, infrastructure development, and regional stability.”

The Iranian diplomat in China also described China’s mediation in restoring Tehran-Riyadh relations as a model for constructive cooperation in West Asia, saying: “At a time when certain foreign powers aim to destabilize the region through sanctions and pressure, Iran-China cooperation—based on mutual respect and multilateralism—charts a new path for constructive engagement in Asia.”
