Pars Today – The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated: “In the 12-day war, the Iranian nation defeated both the United States and the Zionists — without a doubt. They came to cause trouble, were beaten, and returned empty-handed.”

According to Pars Today, quoting the official website of the Leader’s office, Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, said in a televised address to the Iranian nation on Thursday night that strengthening and powerfully continuing the Basij across successive generations is essential, describing it as “a great asset, a nationwide movement, and a factor that increases national power.”

The Leader stated that having a movement like the Basij is beneficial and a solution for any country, and emphasized:
“A country like Iran — which openly and firmly stands up to international bullies and thugs — needs the Basij more than any other nation.”

Imam Khamenei, referring to the need for nations to resist the greed and interference of hegemonic powers, added:
“The great element of resistance that was established and grew in Iran can now be seen in the slogans supporting Palestine and Gaza across various parts of the world — including in Western countries and even the United States.”

The Leader described the vitality and dynamism of the Basij as a source of growth for the resistance of nations against global oppressors, and said:
“The oppressed people of the world, through the rise of resistance, feel supported and empowered.”

Imam Khamenei described the Basij as a force that neutralizes the enemy’s plans in military, economic, industrial, technological, and all other fields. He stated:

“The dear scientists who were martyred in the 12-day war, the designers, builders, and launchers of the missiles, anyone who—with firm logic and eloquent speech—has confronted rumors and temptations and continues to enlighten others, the devoted doctors and nurses who did not leave the hospitals during the war, and the athletic champions who, in international arenas, express their devotion to God, religion, the country, and the nation—whether or not they are formally members of the Basij—are all Basijis.”

In another part of his remarks, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution spoke about regional issues and the 12-day war, stating:

“In the 12-day war, the Iranian nation undoubtedly defeated both the United States and the Zionist regime. They came to cause mischief, but they were beaten and returned empty-handed, achieving none of their goals — and this was a real defeat for them.”

Referring to remarks that the Zionist regime had a 20-year plan for a war against Iran, the Leader stated:

“They had planned a war in which they hoped to incite the people and force the nation itself to rise up against the system. But the opposite happened. Their plan failed so completely that even those who were critical of the system stood alongside it, and a general sense of unity emerged throughout the country.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution pointed to the major losses suffered by the United States in the 12-day war and added:

“The United States suffered greatly in this war because, despite employing the most advanced offensive and defensive weapons, it failed to achieve its goal of deceiving the Iranian nation and winning their support. Instead, the unity of the people increased, and they caused the United States to fail as well.”

Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the severe disgrace and disrepute of the Zionist regime in the Gaza catastrophe—one of the greatest tragedies in the region’s history—said:

“The United States stood beside the usurping regime in this matter and became deeply disgraced and discredited, because the people of the world know that the Zionist regime would not be capable of committing such atrocities without America.”

The Leader described the head of the Zionist government as the most despised person in today’s world and the Zionist regime as the most hateful ruling organization or gang on the planet, and added:

“Because the United States stands with them, the hatred toward the Zionists has spread to America as well.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution considered U.S. interference in various parts of the world to be another factor behind America’s growing isolation, and said:

“Wherever the United States interferes, it results in war-mongering, genocide, destruction, and displacement.”

The Leader cited the costly and fruitless war in Ukraine as an example of U.S. interference and added:

“The current U.S. president, who claimed he would resolve this war within three days, is now—after about a year—imposing a 28-point plan on a country that the Americans themselves dragged into the conflict.”

Ayatollah Khamenei cited the Zionist regime’s attacks on Lebanon, its aggression against Syria, its crimes in the West Bank, and the dire situation in Gaza as further examples of the United States’ open support for the war and crimes of this vile regime. He added:

“Of course, they spread rumors claiming that the Iranian government sent a message to the United States through such-and-such a country—but this is pure lie, and such a thing certainly never happened.”

Referring to America’s betrayal even of its own allies in order to support the Zionist and criminal gang and to incite wars around the world for the sake of oil and underground resources—a reach that now extends to Latin America—he said:

“Such a government is certainly not one with which the Islamic Republic seeks cooperation or engagement.”
