Pars Today – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that during the visit of Oman’s Foreign Minister to Iran, bilateral issues were discussed, as well as regional peace and stability topics, including Yemen, Somalia, Lebanon, and the occupied Palestinian territories. Ideas were also exchanged on other matters that are regularly discussed with Oman.

Ismail Baqaei, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said on Monday at a press conference attended by journalists, commenting on the Turkish foreign minister’s stance on the recent terrorist incidents in Iran and references to the role of the Zionist regime, as well as the positions of other countries, that regional countries have reached a consensus that the Zionist regime poses an immediate threat to regional stability. He said the regime’s behavior has clearly shown that it considers no nation safe from its malicious actions.

According to Pars Today, Baqaei emphasized that attacks on seven countries, the continuation of genocide in Gaza, and separatist efforts in the region demonstrate that this danger must be taken seriously. He added that Iran is aware of this shared understanding regarding the Zionist regime’s approaches to destabilizing the region.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson added: “Some countries make completely hypocritical statements about Iran. We have not heard anything from the Europeans regarding regional developments, including Gaza, yet we see events about Iran being misrepresented. This reflects the double-standard approach of some of these countries, which has also been evident in recent days.”

Baqaei also commented on the issue of Hezbollah disarmament: “The defense of Lebanon’s sovereignty and Lebanon’s defense strategy must be decided by the Lebanese themselves within the framework of national dialogue. The reality is that the Zionist regime has not honored any agreements, thousands of ceasefires have been violated, and the guarantors of these ceasefires have taken no practical action.”

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, referring to the visit of Oman’s foreign minister to Iran, said that political contacts between the two countries have always existed and that bilateral relations are excellent. He added that Iran supports Oman’s approach and efforts to help promote stability and security in the region. During the visit, issues related to regional peace and stability—including Yemen, Somalia, Lebanon, and the occupied Palestinian territories—were discussed.

In another part of his remarks, Baqaei referred to the abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro by US forces, calling the act illegal. He said Iran stands in solidarity with countries that are calling for the release of the legitimate president of Venezuela and his wife.

The senior Iranian diplomat also commented on the killing of a woman in the United States by immigration officers and its connection to the protests in Iran, saying: “The link lies in highlighting the contradictions in the positions of US officials regarding developments in Iran. A young woman is killed simply for not responding promptly to a police warning, yet on the other side, when terrorists attack law enforcement and civilians in Iran, we witness a contradictory stance. This clearly shows how dishonest the words and actions of Western parties are.”
