Brig. Gen. Mohebbi: No need to worry about economic war

Pars Today – The spokesman for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), responding to Trump’s economic war against Iran, stressed: “We have repeatedly announced that we have a scenario for every hostile action by the enemy.”

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Brigadier General Mohebbi, spokesman for the IRGC, said at a press conference on Sunday, referring to the U.S. president’s remarks about an economic war against Iran: “Donald Trump says he ordered an economic war and launched the most severe economic war against Iran. This is an implicit admission of the enemy’s humiliating defeat on the military front.”

Addressing Iran’s adversaries, he said: “If you had been victorious on the military front, there would have been no need to launch an economic war. Is an economic war something new? You have been waging economic war for 47 years and have imposed sanctions on all sectors of our economy. What the enemy is doing now is merely shaping perceptions and creating a particular belief among the people.”

Brigadier General Mohebbi said: “We have repeatedly announced that we have a scenario for every hostile action by the enemy. One such hostile action is economic measures and economic warfare. We have plans in place to mitigate the adverse effects of the enemy’s economic war, and we can easily establish economic ties with other countries. There is no cause for concern on the economic front.”

The IRGC spokesman added: “We have economic interactions right under the nose of the United States, we are bypassing the U.S., and you will see the results in the near future.”

Referring to recent wars, he said: “In the recent wars, we dismantled their forces and destroyed their entire network, and they fled. Before the Ramadan war, we targeted at least 30 to 40 enemy warships in the Persian Gulf, and now the enemy has moved 400 kilometers away from the waters of the Persian Gulf.”
