Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Pars Today – The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that recent experiences have shown that the Israeli regime and some of its Western backers have consistently sought to fragment Iran.
Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, attended the sacred shrine of Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul), the founder of the Islamic Revolution, on Saturday alongside members of the cabinet on the eve of the auspicious 10-Day Dawn, marking the 47th anniversary of the revolution’s victory. According to Pars Today, Pezeshkian, during the government’s pledge-renewal ceremony to the ideals of Imam Khomeini, emphasized that recent experiences have shown that the Israeli regime and some of its Western supporters have consistently sought to sow division and fragment Iran, taking advantage of any opportunity to exploit social demands.
Masoud Pezeshkian, referring to the incidents that occurred during the recent protests in Iran, emphasized that the transformation of peaceful demonstrations into attacks on military forces and the destruction of public property is a clear sign of organized and malicious currents; currents whose goal is not to express the demands of the people, but to sow hatred and chaos.
He stated that it is the unequivocal duty of the Iranian government to listen to the voices of protesters and address their legitimate concerns, adding that the vigilance of Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and the loyalty of the Iranian people have so far prevented the enemies’ plans from being realized.
Pezeshkian further noted that in the recent unrest, Donald Trump, President of the United States, Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of the Israeli regime, and European actors all sought to provoke and create division. He added that, unfortunately, some innocent citizens were drawn into this current, brought to the streets, with the aim of fragmenting the country, stirring conflicts and hatred among people, and fostering disunity.
He noted that in any normal social protest, people do not take up arms, do not kill military personnel, and do not set ambulances or markets on fire. He said: “We have a duty to listen to the voices and concerns of protesters, to address their issues, and we are prepared to do so. But everyone knows the matter was not merely a social protest. Enemies exploited our problems, provoked unrest, and have sought—and continue to seek—to fragment society.”
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that no power can defeat a society founded on justice and fairness. He stressed the necessity of avoiding ethnic, linguistic, and racial discrimination, adding: “No ethnicity or language should impede the implementation of justice.”
