Pars Today – Iran’s foreign minister, in an interview with a Japanese media outlet, emphasized: “Iran is not seeking a ceasefire, but rather a full, comprehensive, and lasting end to the war.”

According to Pars Today, Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, told Kyodo News: “Several countries are trying to mediate an end to the conflict, and we welcome any initiative aimed at a complete, comprehensive, and permanent end to the war—not just a ceasefire.”

Araghchi noted: “We have not closed the Strait of Hormuz; rather, we have imposed restrictions on vessels belonging to countries involved in attacks against us.”

He added: “Iran has begun talks with Japan regarding the possibility of reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and Tehran is prepared to allow Japanese ships to pass through the strait.”

He further stated: “The United States has not yet demonstrated the necessary readiness to reach a genuine solution.”
