Pezeshkian: Israel’s actions aimed at igniting war in region

Pars Today — Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey, held a phone conversation to discuss the latest situation resulting from the U.S. and Israeli military aggression against Iran, the announcement of a ceasefire, and solutions for definitively ending the war and establishing lasting security in the region.
According to Pars Today, in this conversation, President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for Turkey’s stance in condemning the unjust aggression of the United States and Israel against Iran, and especially for the notable solidarity of the Turkish people with the Iranian people.
Pezeshkian emphasized: Despite the United States’ betrayal of diplomacy and attack on Iran during the previous two rounds of negotiations, the Islamic Republic of Iran has responsibly accepted the requests of neighboring and friendly countries to halt the war and establish a ceasefire.
The President of Iran, emphasizing the need to end the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, stated: Israel’s actions are aimed at fueling conflict in the region, and Islamic countries must, in solidarity, confront the warmongering of the Zionist regime and its endangerment of the region’s stability and calm.
The President of Turkey also emphasized, in this conversation, the solidarity of the Turkish government and people with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Expressing satisfaction with the cessation of hostilities, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stressed Turkey’s readiness to cooperate with friendly countries in the region in order to continue efforts for a definitive end to the war and the establishment of lasting security in the region.
