Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Pars Today – The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while expressing appreciation for the Pope’s moral stance regarding recent US and Israeli attacks against Iran, emphasized the need for a realistic and fair approach from the international community.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Masoud Pezeshkian wrote in a message on Saturday addressed to the leader of the Catholic world that the destructive approach of the United States and the Israeli regime, and their unlawful attacks, are not directed only against Iran, but against the rule of law in the international arena, international law, human values, and the teachings of divine religions. He added that the costs of this dangerous approach will inevitably be borne by the entire international community.
Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always demonstrated its commitment to diplomacy and peaceful solutions for resolving issues, including with the United States.
He stated that despite repeated betrayals by the US government at the negotiating table and in diplomacy, Iran has welcomed Pakistan’s mediation and has entered the Islamabad talks in a sincere and professional manner.
He added that Iran’s resistance to the unlawful demands of the US government is, in fact, a defense of international law and high human values.
