Pars Today – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, in a statement marking “Nakba Day,” emphasized that the crimes of the Israeli regime against Palestinians constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated in its Nakba Day statement that on the anniversary of the imposition of the Zionist entity on the region and the world—rightly called Nakba Day—it reminds the international community of its legal and moral responsibility to stop genocide, end occupation, and prosecute and punish Zionist criminals.
The statement added that 78 years ago on this day, the most severe human and moral tragedy of the modern era began with the declaration of the establishment of the so-called Zionist entity in the historical land of Palestine, whose catastrophic consequences are still being witnessed across West Asia and the world.
In the statement by Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is said that Nakba Day is a reminder of a conspiracy by enemies of humanity against Palestine and the West Asian region, the direct consequence of which has been the permanent destabilization of the region and the normalization of lawlessness and crime.
The statement adds that over these eight decades, the most brutal violations of international law have been committed by Zionists, and that the occupiers—supported by the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and some other European countries—have carried out the most heinous international crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.
It further states that in the past three years, the colonial project of the elimination of Palestine has entered a new phase, and the occupying regime, using the most lethal weapons provided by the United States and its Western supporters, has carried out a ruthless genocide against the Palestinian people.
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran, together with other free people around the world, strongly condemns the crimes of the Israeli regime, while emphasizing the fundamental right of the Palestinian people to resist occupation and apartheid. It also rejects any plan that involves the forced displacement of the people of Gaza and the West Bank from their land.
The statement added that the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to uphold its principled and consistent position in supporting the legitimate right of the Palestinian nation to resist occupation and aggression, the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland, and the establishment of an independent and unified Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital. It further stated that the continuation of the Palestinian resistance and the awakening of global consciences will ultimately lead to the complete liberation of Palestine and the realization of the historical rights of its people.
