Pars Today – The Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) World Service referred to the activities of this division during the recent imposed war, emphasizing “first-hand narrative” coverage and the use of artificial intelligence.

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Ahmad Norouzi spoke about the recent war and the extent to which the IRIB World Service tried to familiarize global audiences with developments inside the country through first-hand reporting.

In an interview with Mehr News Agency, he said that during the recent imposed war and the events that unfolded, news coverage was a top priority. He added that the IRIB World Service, alongside other divisions of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, worked to publish the earliest reports within the framework of the first narrative and the news line defined by the country and the organization.

Norouzi added that, in his view, the overall performance in this regard was effective.

Attention of English, Arabic, and Spanish-speaking audiences to first-hand narratives

In response to which language audiences showed the greatest interest in these narratives, Norouzi explained that naturally, wherever a language community is larger, audience engagement is also higher. Accordingly, English had the largest audience, followed by Arabic and Spanish. Based on this order, the languages can be ranked in terms of audience attention.

Reception of AI-generated videos

Ahmad Norouzi noted that in the field of news processing, analysis, and the use of modern technologies—especially artificial intelligence—there was significant and effective use during this period in the overall Iranian media space. He said AI served as a complementary tool in news production, particularly in analytical content, and was widely and diversely used across the IRIB World Service media outlets. Some of the AI-produced videos also received broad attention.

He concluded by noting that invitations to international media have not stopped. He said two media tours have been held so far, and several non-Iranian journalists who were interested in visiting Iran during this period were able to enter the country. In his view, this initiative also served as a complementary, effective, and notable form of narrative-building.
