Iranian President: Government supports strengthening Iran’s armed forces

Pars Today – Iran’s President emphasized that the government fully supports the strengthening of the country’s armed forces and the enhancement of their combat readiness, while praising their bravery and strong performance in countering aggressions by the United States and the Israeli regime.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Masoud Pezeshkian met with Major General Amir Hatami, Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and expressed appreciation for the courage, sacrifice, and effective performance of Iran’s armed forces, especially the army, in responding to the U.S. and Israeli aggressions.

He praised the armed forces’ “decisive, intelligent, and deterrent responses” to hostile actions and stressed that the role of Iran’s military forces is decisive and strategic in ensuring national security, safeguarding territorial integrity, and strengthening deterrence capabilities.

Pezeshkian described the Iranian Armed Forces—especially the “faithful, popular, and revolutionary army”—as having demonstrated high operational readiness, intelligence dominance, command cohesion, and effective combat capability during recent developments and threats, preventing enemies from achieving their goals against the Iranian people.

Pezeshkian, referring to the need for the continuous strengthening of Iran’s defense capabilities and the improvement of military readiness, stressed that the government, with all its resources, stands alongside the armed forces and will support strategic programs aimed at enhancing defense capacity, logistical support, modernization of equipment, strengthening operational infrastructure, and increasing the country’s deterrence capability.

In the same meeting, Major General Amir Hatami, Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, presented a report on the latest operational status, defense measures, and missions of Iran’s Army in countering hostile actions and aggressions.

He also outlined parts of the operations and responses carried out against aggressors and emphasized the full readiness of various army units across different domains.

The Commander of the Army further explained the process of re-equipping, recovery, and enhancement of combat capability during the ceasefire period, stating that the Iranian Army—by leveraging field experience, strengthening operational readiness, improving coordination among forces, and updating combat and support capacities—is fully prepared to deliver a decisive, regret-inducing, and proportionate response to any threat, aggression, or adventurous action against the country.
