Pars Today – Iran's Foreign Minister, in a phone conversation with the UN Secretary-General, has described US bad faith, contradictory statements, and repeated excessive demands as factors disrupting the negotiation process mediated by Pakistan.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, and António Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, spoke by telephone.

In this telephone conversation, which took place on Friday evening, the latest situation in the region and developments related to diplomacy between Iran and the US with Pakistan's mediation were discussed.

In this conversation, Iran's Foreign Minister, while explaining the latest status of the existing diplomatic process to end the imposed war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, cited the US record of bad faith—especially repeated betrayals of diplomacy and military aggression against Iran—along with contradictory statements and repeated excessive demands, as factors disrupting the negotiation process mediated by Pakistan. He stated: "Despite having strong suspicions about the United States, the Islamic Republic of Iran has entered this diplomatic process with a responsible approach and in all seriousness, and is striving to achieve a reasonable and fair outcome."

The UN Secretary-General, rejecting the use of force against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, emphasized the necessity of adhering to the principles of the UN Charter and using diplomatic means to establish peace and stability in the region.
