Baqaei: Iran’s power is guarantee of U.S. commitment to any potential agreement

Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that ensuring U.S. commitment to any potential agreement in negotiations is based on Iran’s power and the lesson the Iranian nation has given to aggressors.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Esmaeil Baqaei said at a press conference in response to a question about guarantees for U.S. compliance in any possible deal: “The guarantee is our power, and the lesson the Iranian nation has given to aggressors. The arrangements of our delegation are, in fact, the arrangements of the Iranian nation. The negotiating team is part of the state.”

The spokesperson emphasized: “Threats and caricatures are part of political behavior in that part of the world; we act in practice, regardless of the assumptions of the other side.”

He added: “Do not worry about guarantees. A country that was able to defend itself for 40 days against two nuclear powers and forced the enemy to regret its objectives can also demonstrate its power in the continuation of the path.”
