Pars Today– The Deputy for Foreign Policy and International Security of the Secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council has emphasized that the issue of Iran's enriched uranium reserves is not on the negotiations agenda.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Ali Baqeri, the Deputy for Foreign Policy and International Security of the Secretariat of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, who traveled to Russia on Wednesday to participate in the 14th International Conference of High-Level Security Officials, said on the sidelines of the meeting in response to a question about the fate of Iran's enriched uranium reserves: "This issue is not on the negotiations agenda."

Baqeri's remarks come as previously, Ismail Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had stated regarding the fate of 400 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium: "The situation regarding nuclear issues is very clear. We are a member of the NPT, and as a member, we have the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes."

He continued: "We have also made our positions very clear regarding Iran's high-grade enriched uranium. If we want to discuss the details of these issues at this stage, we will not reach a conclusion. Because we have gone down this path before, and the disagreements were so great that we could not reach a result."

In this context, some Western media outlets, such as CNN, had reported that the US President insists that Iran's high-grade enriched uranium must be eliminated before Iran's financial demands are met.
