Pars Today – The release of satellite imagery has reportedly forced Israel to acknowledge some of the damage caused by Iranian precision missile strikes.

According to Pars Today, citing Tasnim News Agency, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth admitted in a report that, following the publication of satellite images of the Ramat David Air Base in northern occupied Palestine, the facility appears to have been struck by Iranian missiles.

According to the newspaper and several other Hebrew-language media outlets, the damage shown in the images dates back to the latest round of hostilities, during which Iran's armed forces carried out a punitive operation against Israeli aggressors. The report noted that this was not the first time the base had come under missile attack, having previously been targeted by both Iran and Hezbollah.

The report further stated that an analysis of the satellite images circulating online indicates that aircraft shelters at the Ramat David Air Base, located near the Lebanese border, were hit and sustained significant damage.

It was also emphasized that the satellite image, although taken on Monday with relatively low resolution, shows a spot at the location of the aircraft shelters when compared with images from June 5.

Yedioth Ahronoth admitted that this indicates the aircraft shelters at Ramat David Air Base have likely sustained serious damage. However, the Israeli military and its spokesperson have not reacted to this information and have declined to provide any explanation, while the extent of the damage cannot be clearly determined from the available images.

The report also revealed that in a previous confrontation (the 40-day war), several points at this base, including its fuel supply facilities, were also targeted.

The base, located about 50 kilometers from the border with Lebanon, is used as a station for F-16 fighter jets and unmanned aerial vehicles.
