Iran’s flag raised in heart of Los Angeles, USA

Pars Today – Following the raising of the Iranian flag in stadiums in Mexico and Canada, the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran was also displayed during the third opening ceremony of the 2026 World Cup at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, early Saturday morning before the match between the United States and Paraguay, the flags of all qualified teams were carried onto the field. The Iranian flag was among them at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Iran national football team is placed in Group G alongside Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand, with its matches scheduled to be played in the United States. Two of Iran’s matches will be held at the same SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Iran’s national team training session was held on Saturday at a camp in Tijuana, Mexico under the supervision of the technical staff, with strong presence of international journalists and media.

The team is scheduled to hold its final training session on Sunday at 6 p.m. local time before traveling to Los Angeles. Iran’s first match will be against New Zealand.
