Pars Today – The Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, in explaining the understanding reached with the United States, said that two immediate developments will take place from Monday morning: first, the end of war on all fronts, including Lebanon; and second, the lifting of the naval blockade.

According to Pars Today, citing Tasnim News Agency, Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, said that the text of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States has been finalized and that the final signing will take place on Friday between the main parties in Switzerland.

He added that two immediate developments will occur from Monday morning: first, the end of the war and military operations on various fronts, including Lebanon, as also included in the text presented by the Prime Minister of Pakistan; and second, the lifting and termination of the naval blockade, which, he said, was also acknowledged by the U.S. President.

Gharibabadi added that Iran’s commitments in this regard will naturally take effect from Friday, following the official signing of the agreement.

He said that this understanding was not merely the result of diplomatic consultations, but was made possible by the pure blood of the martyrs, the actions of Iran’s military forces, the steadfastness of the proud people in the streets, their support for the armed forces and resistance against the enemies of the Islamic Republic, as well as the blood of the martyred Imam and the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran stressed that the government would soon provide the public with a transparent report on the achievements of the agreement.

He stated that the enemy, which had launched an attack to achieve its malicious goals, suffered defeat in all of its objectives, and that the Islamic Republic of Iran achieved major victories in the war. He added that all key positions were included in the draft memorandum, and that after the official signing, the text of the agreement would be published; even before signing, various aspects of the memorandum would be explained through public media.

Gharibabadi further said that this memorandum of understanding does not imply trust in the enemy and has been written in a context of mistrust, emphasizing that Iran will monitor the implementation of U.S. commitments.

Iran’s Commitments Are Not Comparable to Our Achievements

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran said that the text of the agreement will soon be published, allowing the public to see both Iran’s achievements and its commitments, stressing that Iran’s commitments are not comparable to its gains.

He emphasized that Iran’s armed forces will always remain ready, with their finger on the trigger, to confront enemy conspiracies, and will continue to be fully prepared against any plots.

60-Day Negotiations to Begin After Verification of U.S. Commitments

The Deputy Foreign Minister stated that a formal signing will take place on Friday, after which talks between the heads of the two delegations will continue to determine the future arrangements of negotiations.

He added that until then, U.S. commitments regarding the end of the war, lifting of the blockade, and release of assets will be subject to verification.

According to Gharibabadi, entering the 60-day negotiation process depends on the implementation of these U.S. obligations.

What Will Be Negotiated in the 60-Day Period?

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran said that the complete termination of all sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran — including both primary and secondary sanctions — as well as the lifting of UN Security Council and IAEA Board of Governors resolutions, will be among the issues to be negotiated during the 60-day period. He added that all sanctions would be removed if a final agreement is reached.

He stated that the second topic of the 60-day negotiations is the nuclear issue.

He further noted that economic reconstruction and development will also be discussed during this period, and that the relevant mechanisms will be finalized.

Another issue on the agenda is the establishment of an implementation mechanism to monitor the proper execution of commitments by both sides.

Gharibabadi concluded by stressing that Iran defeated the United States in the military conflict, and that under this understanding the U.S. has committed to ending the war.
