Pars Today – Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s negotiating delegation, responded to recent threats made by U.S. President Donald Trump against Iran, saying: “American threats carry no weight for us. We are prepared to respond.”

According to Pars Today, citing Iran's IRIB News Agency, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, head of Iran’s delegation in talks with the United States in Switzerland, said on Sunday: “Do they not realize that if their threats had been effective, they would not have reached their current state of frustration? We do not take American threats seriously.”

The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament emphasized: “They would do better to be careful with their statements. Our armed forces are ready to respond in a different manner. No matter how much they talk, we are the ones who act.”

The remarks came as four-party talks between Iran and the United States, attended by Pakistani and Qatari mediators, had entered a recess for internal consultations on Sunday after approximately 80 minutes of discussions. During the break, however, Donald Trump reportedly issued a threatening message, prompting a firm response from the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s negotiating delegation.
