Ghalibaf: Zionist regime number one enemy of all Islamic countries
Pars Today – Iran’s Parliament Speaker, meeting with the Iraqi prime minister, said that the Zionist regime is undoubtedly an enemy of all Islamic countries, adding that cooperation between Iran and Iraq in preserving the unity of Islamic nations against the number one enemy of Muslims is highly effective.
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, met with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi in Tehran on Thursday evening and thanked the Iraqi government and people for holding large funeral ceremonies for the late leader of the Islamic Revolution in several Iraqi cities.
Ghalibaf emphasized the long-standing relations between Tehran and Baghdad, stating:
"Cooperation between Iran and Iraq has a significant impact on regional stability and the Islamic world. By working together, Iran and Iraq can help resolve many of the region’s challenges."
He added: "The Zionist regime is undoubtedly the enemy of all Islamic countries. Cooperation between Iran and Iraq in maintaining the unity of Islamic countries against the Zionist regime, which is the number one enemy of Muslims, will certainly be effective."
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, responding to Ghalibaf’s appreciation for Iraq’s role in organizing the funeral ceremonies, said:
"There is no need for thanks; we consider this our duty. Losing him was not the loss of an ordinary person; we lost one of the great figures of Shia Islam."
Al-Zaidi also referred to the martyred leader’s significant standing among Muslims and Shia communities worldwide, saying:
"A person may be able to acquire many things through wealth, but they cannot win the hearts and emotions of people. The crowds that came in Iraq, despite the extreme heat, to attend the funeral were extraordinary and conveyed a special image to the world."
