Pezeshkian: Imam Hussein (PBUH) taught us to stand against oppression

Pars Today – Iran's President, on the occasion of Ashura,has written on social media that Imam Hussein (PBUH) taught us to stand against oppression, the temptation of power, and self-interest.

According to a Pars Today report citing IRIB News Agency, Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, wrote on social media: "The world is as if it never was, and the Hereafter is as if it always has been."

Pezeshkian added: "Imam Hussein (AS) taught us to stand against oppression, the temptation of power, and self-interest. One may give up their life, but not their integrity; one may stand alone, but never abandon the truth. Neither commit injustice, nor accept it, nor remain silent before it."
