IRGC targeted U.S. fighter shelters in Jordan
Pars Today – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that it targeted shelters housing U.S. F-15, F-16 and F-35 fighter jets, as well as several MQ-9 strategic drones, at Jordan’s Al-Azraq air base.
According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, the IRGC said in a statement that, in response to the crimes of the Great Satan, many of which had been carried out using U.S. bases on Jordanian soil, the Aerospace Force of the IRGC launched a retaliatory strike against the American base in Al-Azraq. The operation destroyed shelters for F-15, F-16 and F-35 fighter aircraft and eliminated a number of MQ-9 strategic drones stationed at the base.
The statement also said that Jordan is a sacred land associated with prophets and that it should not host occupiers and international criminals. Addressing the Jordanian people, the IRGC called on them to bring an end to the presence of U.S. forces in their country and to prevent Jordanian territory from being used as a launch point for attacks against Islamic countries and for oppression of the Palestinian people.
