Pezeshkian: Attacks on civilian infrastructure constitute war crimes

Pars Today – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, while reviewing the latest situation of the country's transportation infrastructure and the damage inflicted on border terminals, ports, and Iran's road and rail networks, described the U.S. attacks on civilian infrastructure as a clear example of war crimes.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News, President Pezeshkian said that the damage caused to border terminals, customs facilities, and Iran's land, rail, maritime, and aviation transportation infrastructure constitutes a blatant violation of international law and a war crime. He stressed the need to pursue legal action through the relevant international organizations and judicial bodies.

The Iranian president also described expanding regional cooperation and strengthening infrastructure links with neighboring countries as among his government's strategic priorities. He said the government's active diplomacy has created favorable conditions for enhancing transportation and transit cooperation, adding that completing and connecting Iran's railway network with those of neighboring countries could strengthen economic resilience, promote international transit corridors, and maximize the country's geopolitical potential.
