Iranian Army: Any threat to prove ineffective against our defensive shield

Pars Today — The Islamic Republic of Iran Army, in a statement marking August 17, the anniversary of the return of Iran’s honored prisoners of war to their homeland, said that the Iranian Army has today reached a position of strength by drawing on the legacy of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of truth, as well as the valuable experiences of veterans and former prisoners of war.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, the Iranian Army issued the statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the return of Iranian prisoners of war to their homeland.

The statement reads:

“In the calendar of our nation’s epic achievements and honors, some dates serve as a ‘roadmap’ for the continuation of dignity. The anniversary of the return of the prisoners of war to Iran represents the convergence of strategic patience, unwavering faith, and the absolute triumph of the will over the chains of captivity.”

The return of the prisoners of war was not merely a physical homecoming; it was a manifestation of an unyielding will on the sacred soil of Iran. These servicemen, who endured the harshest conditions of captivity, redefined the meaning of resilience and proved to the world that a military uniform, even in the absence of a weapon, is an armor of dignity and honor.

Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, drawing on the legacy of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of truth and the invaluable experiences of veterans and honored former prisoners of war, has reached a level of strength where any threat will prove ineffective against the defensive shield of faith and expertise.

Dear former prisoners of war, today’s young generation of the Iranian Army draws lessons from your heroic deeds and learns that loyalty to the homeland and obedience to the Velayat-e Faqih are the keys to overcoming every impasse.

We are committed to weaving the memory of those who endured years of hardship and separation into the fabric of our present-day operations, because we know that victory is not achieved solely on the battlefield, but also through preserving human dignity and continuing truthful accounts of resistance.
