Velayati: American families paying price for their leaders’ gamble

Pars Today – Ali Akbar Velayati, the Leader of Iran’s senior adviser on international affairs, said that as the anniversary of the August 19, 1953 coup approaches, regional dynamics have changed, and American families are now paying the price for the gamble of their leaders.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Velayati wrote on his social media account: “U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent talks about economic sanctions against Iran, while Trump boasts about a naval blockade. Meanwhile, Senator Cornyn speaks about rising prices and the cost of living for the American people.”

He added: “As the anniversary of the 1953 coup approaches, 73 years later, one reality has become clear: regional dynamics have changed, and today American families are paying the cost of their leaders’ gamble in cash.”
