Maj. Gen. Abdollahi: Iran’s response to new enemy threats will be devastating

Pars Today — The Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces said that any miscalculation or conventional and emerging threats by Iran’s enemies would be met with revolutionary, forceful, deterrent, and devastating responses.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Major General Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, made the remarks in a message to Brigadier General Seyyed Majid Ebn al-Reza, Acting Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, on the occasion of Iran’s Defense Industry Day on August 22.

He said: “August 22, Defense Industry Day, is a manifestation of the grandeur of Iran’s indigenous power and deterrence in the face of unjust sanctions and the alignment of child-killing hegemonic powers.”

He added that the day commemorates the tireless efforts of the specialists, experts, and dedicated personnel of Iran’s Ministry of Defense, particularly the distinguished martyrs who, relying on faith and knowledge, have brought Iran’s defensive deterrence to its highest level of development.

He emphasized that the defense industry, as an indispensable pillar of national power, plays a pivotal role in strengthening the security and dignity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He said that what has been achieved at the Ministry of Defense in recent years goes beyond the production of military equipment and represents a “deterrent defense industrial revolution”—a strategic transformation encompassing design, technology management, the defense economy, the knowledge-based supply chain, and smart production models that ensure success on the battlefield. He described this transformation as an intelligent response to the complexities of modern and future warfare.

The message added that this remarkable progress is undoubtedly the result of the drive for self-reliance and determination instilled by Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul), the founder of the Islamic Republic, and the wise guidance of the martyred Leader of the Revolution. By outlining the vision for deterrent power and emphasizing scientific self-sufficiency, they paved the way for the emergence of Iran’s vast defensive and offensive capabilities in the military sphere. Today, the fruits of that effort have clearly brought honor to Iran at both regional and extraregional levels, including the second and third Sacred Defense in confronting the U.S.-Zionist imposed war.

Major General Abdollahi stressed that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, fully prepared across all domains—including land, sea, air, air defense, space, and cyberspace—will respond to any miscalculation or conventional and emerging threats from the enemy with revolutionary, forceful, deterrent, and devastating responses.
