Pars Today – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Iran’s adversaries had calculated that an attack on Iran would turn the country into another Venezuela, but that did not happen. Instead, he said, Iran emerged as a power whose resilience has astonished the world.

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking at a ceremony to renew allegiance to the ideals of Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul), the founder of the Islamic Revolution, referred to the Iranian people’s resistance in the face of existing pressures. He said analysts cannot easily explain how the Iranian nation, inspired by the path and ideals of Imam Khomeini and the martyrs, has stood firm against these pressures.

The Iranian president said the country is facing an all-out economic, military, and security war, adding that Iran’s adversaries openly declare that they are imposing the harshest and most devastating sanctions against the country. “But we have stood firm and are striving to serve the people in the face of this unequal war,” he said.

Referring to the enemy’s plots, Pezeshkian said: “The enemy had assessed, and it was assumed, that if they attacked Iran and increased the pressure, Iran would become Venezuela. But not only did that not happen; Iran became a power whose resilience, solidarity, and unity have astonished the world.”
