Pezeshkian: Enemy was defeated by unity of Iranian people

Pars Today – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that the enemies had calculated that they could destabilize and ultimately bring about the collapse of Iran by creating unrest and launching a major attack, but this did not happen because of the unity and cohesion within Iranian society.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Pezeshkian said on Tuesday night during a meeting with a group of accomplished Iranian teenagers and young people that, referring to the enemies’ efforts to create division and polarization in Iran: “Wars have changed in nature today. The enemies have realized that they cannot force or defeat the Iranian people through military means. Therefore, they have focused on creating social problems and economic discontent in an effort to plunge Iran into turmoil.”

He said that economic pressure is one of the strategies used by the United States and Iran’s adversaries to force the country into submission, stressing: “We must not give in or surrender in the face of difficulties. We must find ways to overcome these challenges, and through the participation of all members of society, we will build a prosperous Iran.”

Recalling that the enemies had calculated that they could first create unrest in the country and then cause Iran to collapse through a major attack within a few days, Pezeshkian added: “Because of the unity and cohesion that existed within society, this did not happen.”

He stressed that Iran still needs solidarity and cooperation, adding that intellectuals and academics can play a pivotal role in this regard.
