Ghalibaf: Sharp surge in oil prices put Bessent on brink

Pars Today – The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament said in a post that rapidly declining strategic reserves, an unprecedented rise in bond yields, and a sharp surge in oil futures prices have put Scott Bessent on the brink.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, addressed US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in a post on X, writing: “Keep a close eye on Oman crude futures prices, US government bond yields, and the level of strategic oil reserves.”

He added: “Short harder, champ. Like your career depends on it (because it does). Or drain below the danger zone and watch your caverns collapse (along with your career). Or pray to the salt gods of Bryan Mound. The world's already got its popcorn.”
