Ayatollah Khatami: Iran will never surrender

Pars Today – Tehran’s Friday prayer leader has stressed that Iran will never surrender, saying that just as the Prophet of Islam defeated the enemy in an economic war during the early days of Islam, today the enemy can likewise be defeated in this hybrid war through jihad and charitable giving.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami, Tehran’s Friday prayer leader, said that the enemy is spending money to make economic pressure on the Iranian people succeed, but will ultimately regret its actions after realizing that its efforts have failed to achieve their intended results, adding that they will also face a grim fate in the hereafter.

Khatami added: “Just as the enemies of the early Islamic era were defeated in the economic war, the enemies of Islam today will also be defeated in both the economic and military wars.”

Ayatollah Khatami went on to describe people’s resilience as a factor behind the continuation of nighttime gatherings across Iran, saying: “Of course, the fool in the White House (Trump) constantly talks about Iran’s surrender, but this deaf man in the White House must hear that Iran will never surrender.”
