Pars Today- Iran’s Parliament Speaker has said that the US Treasury’s efforts to curb oil prices will have no effect, following Brent crude prices rising above $105 a barrel. Posting a chart showing the ineffectiveness of Washington’s measures to contain oil prices and the likelihood of further increases, he wrote: “Act like you don't know what comes next.”

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf, speaker of Iran’s Parliament, reacted to Brent crude prices surpassing $105 a barrel by posting a chart on his X account showing that US Treasury measures to contain oil prices have been ineffective and that oil prices are expected to continue rising.

He wrote: “Here is your daily dose of 'forward guidance', in case you don't hear from your regime authorities: the arsenal they will exhaust and the exact order —including lying to Axios, market intervention, releasing reserves, and so on—they'll run through it. Act like you don't know what comes next.”
