Ghalibaf: Containing oil prices no longer possible

Pars Today- Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf said the US government has resorted to various tools to contain prices, all of which have lost their effectiveness.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Ghalibaf wrote on his social media account: “Containing oil prices is no longer possible. The US government has resorted to various tools to contain prices, all of which have lost their effectiveness: resorting to lies and creating false narratives; direct, temporary and artificial intervention in the oil market; and releasing strategic reserves with the aim of creating a psychological and price shock.

“Charts clearly show that oil prices will continue their upward and unstoppable trend in the future. The next phase of the market has begun—a phase in which the US government can pretend it was unaware of what was coming.”
