33 Iranian universities among top universities in the world
Pars Today- The latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings in the field of effectiveness of universities on the basis of the 17 UN indexes of sustainable development were released for 2024 and 33 Iranian universities were placed among the top universities among 1500 ones worldwide.
The Times World University Rankings 2024 evaluated 2152 universities from 125 countries or geographical regions, based on which, Western Sydney, University in Australia, ranked at the top of the list for the third consecutive year. According to Pars Today, the number of the Iranian universities participating in the ranking increased to 33 from 27 of the past year.
The best ranking for the participating Iranian universities belonged to Amir Kabir and Sharif universities with the index of 27 in industry, innovation and infrastructure.
Al-Zahra University, Iran University of Medical Sciences, Kerman University of Medical Sciences, Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, University of Mohaqqeq Ardebili, Tehran University, Ahvaz Jondishapur University of Medical Sciences, Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University, Sharif Industrial University, Kurdistan University, Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, Amir Kabir University, Babol Noshirvani University, Semnan University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, Shiraz Industrial University, Kashan University, Zanjan University, Urmia University of Medical Sciences, Eilam University, Imam Khomeini International University, Payam Noor University, Hormozgan University, Maragheh University, Mazandaran University, Science and Culture University, Sistan-Baluchestan University were some of the universities whose names were in the final list of Times Ranking.
It should be mentioned that Iran possesses %2 of the global scientific production which has turned it the top among the Islamic countries.
