Swiss ambassador: Iranian medical level is very praiseworthy
Pars Today- Iran's minister of health, treatment and medical education welcomed expansion of medical cooperation with Switzerland.
Mohammad Reza Zafarqandi, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a meeting with the Swiss Ambassador to Tehran, Nadine Olivieri Lozano, referring to expansion of the grounds for mutual cooperation, said, "There have been scientific and academic relations between Iran and Switzerland since the past, and the two countries can have joint cooperation in the fields of medical sciences, conferences and scientific webinars." According to Pars Today, the Iranian health minister stressed the need for continuation of setting up the joint Iran-Switzerland work-desk for specialized examination and removal of barriers, and added, "Iran proposes to hold the second economic commission of the two countries in Tehran to review the technical and executive issues."
The Swiss Envoy to Tehran, Nadine Olivieri Lozano, for her part, pointing to her shoulder operation by an Iranian surgeon, said, "My ophthalmologist is an Iranian and there are many skilled physicians in various fields who are Iranian and we are intent to enhance scientific relations in this domain with Iran."
Praising Iran's breakthroughs in the fields of medical sciences, Lozano added, "The level and quality of medical sciences universities and medical domain are very praiseworthy in Iran. Iranian doctors are very successful in Switzerland and cooperation with them will be among issues aimed at expansion of scientific relations between the two countries."
The Swiss envoy to Tehran, also, informed of Bern's enthusiasm to expand cooperation with Iran in the field of health and stated, "Removal of the challenges ahead of the Swiss companies in Iran can ease people's access to high-quality products."
The political and trade relations between Iran and Switzerland date back to over one and a half centuries.
