Pars Today - Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khamenei on Tuesday received Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his accompanying delegation. In this meeting, the Leader emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran's fixed and certain policy of expanding relations with neighboring countries, particularly Armenia.

The Leader in this meeting stressed that Iran is seriously committed to developing relations with Armenia and that cooperation between the two countries will continue strongly, based on defined interests and without considering the policies of others.

According to Pars Today, Imam Khamenei thanked the Armenian Prime Minister for attending the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and the funeral of Martyr Raeisi, and emphasized the importance of preserving Armenia's territorial integrity.

The Leader stated: "The Islamic Republic of Iran considers the Zangezur corridor to be detrimental to Armenia and will maintain its stance on this issue."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized that foreigners should not create limitations for countries' relations with their neighbors, adding: "What ensures the security and expedience of countries is relying on themselves and their neighbors, and the actions of some who intervene in the affairs of other countries from afar will ultimately harm them."

Imam Khamenei also highlighted the good relations between the Iranian people and the Armenian community in Iran, noting: "Armenians in Iran played a significant role during the imposed war against Iran, and I have personally visited many Armenian homes."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution further emphasized that respecting Jesus Christ (PBUH) is a certain and fixed issue among Muslims, stating: "We condemn any insults to the great figures of divine religions, including Jesus Christ (PBUH)."

During the meeting, which was also attended by Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed satisfaction with the growing relations between the two countries, describing his talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian as constructive and positive.

He stated that Armenia has repeatedly announced that it will not accept any trans-regional corridor within its territory.

Pashinyan described the relations between Iran and Armenia as strategic, expressing satisfaction with the expansion and diversification of ties between the two countries, and called continuation of this trend as important.
