Pars Today- Everybody is impacted by his companion and an important part of human's fate is built by his companions.

Human being lives lonely and in solitude in this world if he has no friend and life will not have a meaning for him forever. Many humans have attained perfection and victory due to sincere and sympathetic friends. Conversely, many individuals have reached failure and absurdity because of having evil companions and friends. Thus, what should we do to have good and righteous friends? Pars Today has chosen a few hadiths from the Prophet of Islam and his Ahl al-Bayt (progeny) on the issue.

Companionship with pious

The Prophet of Islam (SAWA) says, "Sit with the pious, since of you do a righteous deed, they will praise you and if you do an evil deed, they will not blame you."

Good friend

Imam Hossein (AS) says, "Your friend is he who prevents you from sin and your enemy is the one who encourages you to commit a sin."

Many friends

Imam Hassan Askari (AS) says, "He whose disposition is Godwariness, whose nature is magnanimity and whose habit is forbearance will have many friends."

Every evil

Imam Ali (AS) says, "All evil things are in companionship with a bad companion."

Dead-hearted friends

The Prophet of Islam says, "Refrain from sitting with the dead." He was asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Who are the dead?" He answered, "Any rich person whose wealth persuades him to rebel [against God]."

Friendship duty

Imam Sadeq (AS) says, "He who sees his brother doing an evil deed, but does not prevent him while being able, has betrayed him. And he who does not refrain from friendship with fools, may gain his morals."

Treating friends

Imam Ali (AS) says, "Have mercy upon your friend even if he defies you and have relation with him even if he wrongs you."

Three characteristics

Imam Ali (AS) says, "Three characteristics cause affection: good tempers, kindness and humbleness."
