  • Rationality, knowledge and Palestine theme of Iranian seminaries chief meeting with Istanbul scholars

Pars Today - Head of Iran's seminaries, in his meeting with the scholars and cultural activists of Islamic centers in Istanbul, Turkey, emphasized on full support for the oppressed Palestinian people and called this support a duty of every Muslim across the world.

Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, head of Iran's seminaries and chairman of the board of trustees of Al-Mustafa International University, in a trip to Turkey, met and exchanged views with the scholars and activists of Islamic centers in Istanbul. According to Pars Today, Ayatollah Arafi, in this meeting, stressed continuation of religious activities and refraining from cessation and stagnation, while considering presentation of Islamic teachings based on rationality, knowledge and everyday social requirements as a need.

Ayatollah Arafi also pointed to ethics, spirituality, purification of soul, in religious activities and put emphasis on publication and expansion of important Islamic works in various communities.

Islamic scholars in the meeting, too, raised their views about different issues of the Islamic world and the region.

It should be mentioned that Ayatollah Arafi had also traveled to Russia, a while ago, upon the invitation of Sheikh Ravil Ain al-Din, the mufti and director of religious affairs of Russian Muslims, with the aim of participating at the international "Spiritual Silk Road" conference.
