'Riyadh, Ankara, Doha behind massacre of Syria's civilians'

Syrian Prime Minister Wael Nader al-Halqi has held Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar responsible for the “brutal massacres” of civilians across the conflict-stricken Arab country.

According to Press TV, Halqi said on Saturday that the three countries named are the main supporters of the Takfiri terrorist groups fighting in Syria to remove President Bashar al-Assad from power.

He condemned in the strongest terms the recent terrorist bombings outside the holy shrine of Hazrat Zaynab (Peace Be Upon Her) in the southern suburbs of the capital, Damascus, which left at least 20 people martyred and dozens of others injured.

Such acts of terror, he said, are being carried out only to undermine security, restore terrorists’ morale and compensate for the failing anti-Syria propaganda in the wake of recent advances by the “valiant” Syrian government forces.

He further called upon the international community to fulfill their humane, moral and legal responsibilities vis-à-vis the terrorist attacks in Syria and adopt punitive measures against Riyadh, Ankara and Doha as the main supporters and financiers of Takfiri terrorist groups.

Halqi went on to say that terrorist attacks would by no means frighten the Syrian nation, and would rather cement their determination to obtain victory and defeat terrorism.
