  • Gideon's Chariots in Gaza quagmire; rebirth of Resistance from under rubbles

Pars Today- Operation "Gideon's Chariots" of the Zionist regime was defeated in Gaza.

As the genocidal war of the Zionist regime entered the 21st month, the signs of absolute defeat of the operation known as "Gideon's Chariots" have been revealed more than ever. According to Pars Today, "Gideon's Chariots"- which were introduced as fateful by Tel Aviv- not only failed to achieve the pre-planned goals, but also led to further plunging in the political, military and human quagmire. The security cabinet of the Zionist regime ratified the plan of operation "Gideon's Chariots" with the claim to achieve military and political victory in Gaza. with the aim of persistence of genocide and barbarity against the Palestinian citizens.

Military failure and frustration of forces

Nahum Barnea, analyst with daily Yedioth Ahronoth, wrote in an opinion that the operation has ended in a severe defeat in Gaza. The army is frustrated although it may not confess it openly. Barnea said that the decision for the operation was quite political and Benjamin Netanyahu is directly responsible for prolongation of the war.

Amos Harel, military analyst of daily Haaretz, stressed that Netanyahu continues the war artificially to survive politically. Harel maintains that Netanyahu has not only increased the pains of the captives and their families, but also dropped the Zionist community in a crisis. According to the polls, more than %60 of Zionists want the end of war and exchange of captives even if it costs heavily.

Gaza in ruins, rebirth of resistance

Haaretz wrote, "Gaza has now turned into a fertile soil for the birth of new forms of resistance; not necessarily Hamas or Islamic Jihad, but local, guerilla and agile groups which are permanent threat for occupiers with light and handmade ammunitions."

This scenario reminds of the bitter occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan by the US terrorist army in early 2000s and the defeat of Israel in the south of Lebanon in 2000.

Army calls for end of war

Jerusalem Post, quoting from Israeli security sources, reported that the Zionist regime's military has called for ending of the war within the coming two or three weeks, because continuation of clashes- concurrent with the growing threats from Lebanon and Iran- have eroded the army's operational capability and caused instability of the internal front.

Occupying regime in brink of disintegration

Now, the Zionist regime stands in an unprecedented impasse: militarily, it is unable to destroy Hamas and strengthen internal security; in human aspects, an all-out unprecedented catastrophe has happened with tens of thousands of martyrs and hundreds of thousands of homeless and has made the regime globally hated more than ever; politically, Netanyahu's cabinet has lost legitimacy even among insiders and internal rifts have increased; in terms of field, Gaza has turned into an explosive core for the growth of permanent resistance with novel methods.

These factors indicate the strategic defeat of the Zionist regime's operation "Gideon's Chariots", instead of victory, has caused collapse and debacle for Tel Aviv.
